Bellerophone

Digital 3D model done for my final major project at college. There is A LOT wrong with this, but I don't have time to start all over so this will have to do. Having said that, I have learned loads about digital 3D whilst building this, looking forward to finishing college so I have time to do more of this stuff .

The character is Bellerophone, from ancient Greek mythology. Son of Poisiden, prince of Corinth, original hero to ride Pegasus (Perseus became the standard joky for the winged horse in the middle ages), and the slayer of the Chimera.

Base mesh in Maya, then across to zbush 3.5, lots of sculpting later back into Maya, make a mess of the material propertys, paint a quick backdrop in photoshop and voila.
